Painful and depressing for the wrong reasons

In the morning I ran almost 6 miles. Tonight I took a 4 hour CPR/AED course. Which was more painful? The latter. The grandpa instructor spent half the time stumbling through the menus of the newfangled DVD that we were supposed to watch, every time the DVD told us to pause, he would press the previous chapter button, saying there was no pause button, he would repeatedly select the introduction chapter and then stop it and restart the DVD and do the same thing. I hope I die before I'm old enough to laugh at barely funny jokes, because that's just this entire middle-aged class did the entire time:

Student: So if someone's having a heart attack, would it be helpful to give them aspirin?
Class: ha ha ha
Instructor: Well, I've tried giving a combination of Pepsid and Advil and that has worked before
Class: ha ha ha

Here is a funny "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" video starring alt-comedian Zach Galifianakis and indie folk superstar Will Oldham. Everyone's seen this by the time I'm posting. Isn't this video, music and everything, so depressing? And not depressing in terms of subject matter, the music itself is depressingly slow and listening to it takes my breath away. By taking my breath away I mean I feel like I can't breathe because I'm just so annoyed by the music. Kanye is not a very good rapper, especially here, where his voice is at its most irritating, and I feel like he can't come up with worse sampling ideas after this. "I'm going to sample a soulful-sounding voice not even singing, just going oh-wo-wo-wo. And I want it to sound like it's being played through a phonograph!" He topped "Gold Digger," definitely. How could Kanye West put this out as a single? I like depressing music, but I should change that to "depressed" music and this single to "depressing" as "Can't Tell Me Nothin'" is truly what's depressing me.
